This 6-day Hunza autumn tour is timed for the gold: late September through late October, when Karimabad's poplars turn and the Karakoram sits in the clearest air of the year. You fly into Skardu, are met at the airport by your guide and driver, and travel by private 4x4 through Gilgit to Karimabad — a long first day, so we recommend a morning arrival flight. From there you base in Karimabad and spend the week on the colour circuit — Eagle's Nest sunrise, Baltit and Altit against amber terraces, Attabad Lake under yellow shoreline trees, Passu and Hussaini, then either Khunjerab Pass or a Nagar–Hoper colour day if the border gate has closed. It is a private 4x4 departure with a licensed Hunza guide, boutique rooms, and pre-paid fort and park fees. Days are built for light, not mileage. We do not force Deosai in October; that plateau is a summer safari. If you want Hunza in autumn — not a recycled summer itinerary — this is the package running now.
